Applicants must be enrolled and actively attending an accredited college, university, or law school that is domiciled within and maintains a physical campus location within any U.S. State or the District of Columbia during the Fall Semester of 2018. High Schools seniors who will also be attending an accredited college or university and will be attending classes the Fall semester of 2018 are welcome to apply. Applicants must comply with all requirements set forth in the “Essay Submission Procedure” section below.
Essay Submission Procedure
Each applicant’s application and essay must be submitted on this website no later than July 31, 2018 at 12:00:00 PM EST as recorded by this site’s hosting server’s log files—any allegations as to the accuracy of this site’s hosting server with regard to the date and time shall be resolved at Galvin Legal’s sole discretion. No exception will be made for late or incomplete applications, regardless of intent or fault, including, but not limited to, power or internet service interruptions. Once the application period has ended, Galvin Legal will review the essays. A winner will be chosen by November 31, 2018. The following factors will be considered:
Applicants should not submit any other documents or information, including, but not limited to, any documents or information that are not the essay and this application! Please do not tempt fate here, you will automatically not be the winner if you violate this rule! Remember, I am the judge.
The $500 scholarship will be issued directly to the winner applicant’s institution, subject to the requirements described more fully above, for the winner applicant’s benefit.
This scholarship is a one-time award worth $500 and will be paid during the last quarter of 2018 directly to the institution for the winning applicant’s benefit that the winning applicant is enrolled in during the fall semester of 2018. Applicants must submit an official sealed transcript, an official sealed notice acknowledging the applicant’s current enrollment, or similarly sealed official document from the applicant’s institution to Galvin Legal as confirmation before any scholarship funds will be released.
